This post will not be telling you to get it together or how to keep yourself in check…
I’ve got your back on this one.

Life is in a state of flux right now. Offer yourself some grace. You may even still be in autopilot after your loss.

Now that doesn’t mean you go off on anyone and everyone around you, no matter how much you may want to. It doesn’t mean you give up and just sleep the next month away.

All I’m going to encourage is to pay attention. Awareness is so under rated though it is the first step in understanding. Awareness is the start of curiosity.

Life is happening. Life is a bit (or really) unknown right now.

People in your life may bring up things you are not interested in attending to at the moment, are not on your radar, or just don’t want to talk about. I get it. Sometimes, these things catch us off guard. Here are some responses you can try on for those unknown situations to help those 90% reactions.

Try:
I’m not deciding that right now. I’ll let you know when I do.
Let me think about that.
That’s interesting.
That seems important to you.
In time.

This is not deflecting… this is actually giving you a chance to consider your stance or thoughts before responding. This gives you a chance for awareness and curiosity about your next steps.
