You are writing your Positive Intentions for your day. You are learning to pay attention to you mind/body/intuitive connections. You even considered your social preferences.
Now, we take it further. This week your practice will include increasing the amount of time that you hold your focus on those things that are positive or bring you joy.
The work of this course is to build your tendency toward those things that are positive and joyful for you and develop a mindset that is more positive/joy/abundance focused rather than a negative/fear or worry/less than approach to life.
When we first start to take notice of the world around us, we may only manage to attend for a few seconds. Throughout this week, you will build your tolerance for the pause… the allowing yourself to enjoy the awe of a moment.
To pause and really take in a moment can build from 5 seconds to 30 seconds to more than 2 minutes.
It really isn’t that long in duration thought the impact is enormous!
This pause is the intentional part of noticing the joy in the world around you. It’s not just developing awareness to your preferences or looking for them or catching glimpses of them in the day. It’s also being intentional as to how you want to focus your time, energy and attention to the few things in a day that are those simple gifts to you that are just so accessible. This is building the mind muscle toward a positive and joyful mindset.
Watch the video and get ready to practice your pause.
