This is your fifth Grief Self Assessment. There are are only correct answers for your personal experience of grief.
You are becoming more aware of how grief is a part of your life and wellbeing. The Self Assessment is a tool for you check in with yourself to see how you are doing. The score is SIMPLY a REFERENCE POINT. There are a few indicators that will direct you to reach out to a medical professional you will see as you go through the questions.
Many people are looking to “feel better.” Though these questions can help you begin to identify a “doing better,” the Self Assessment tells you how you are integrating grief into your life. At the end of the day, only YOU can answer what that will look like for YOU.
As a fifth Self Assessment, you are learning more and more about yourself. You are in a self evolution… You are in a place of learning about your new way of living. it’s a bit normal to have areas that are clearly a tougher adjustment. You have experienced a number of “firsts” since your loss. There are learnings within the patterns of those firsts. How did you do with the first day back at work? Church? Gathering? Did you have a holiday?
Journal or Reflect: There are questions regarding spending time with family and friends and being motivated. Reflect on these questions as you explore your patterns within the “firsts” experiences of living with grief.
