In order to have “Kind Limits,” we get to know a little bit about ourselves… Today, We begin with exploring what gives us joy. Many times we are searching for these external factors… missing the mark of where this happiness, positivity and joy begins.
Joy beings with YOU!!!
“Joy” is a short word that brings forth a huge reaction. As you grieve and adjust, you may be scoffing “how can I look at joy now?” or simply dismiss “joy doesn’t even fit in my life.” Fair, you are in a place of hurt. We experience life moment to moment… I encourage you to simply remain open to the possibility and even reflect on what has brought forth interest, curiosity, or happiness in the past.
You fill in blank: Joy is _____________________ in my life.
I encourage you to find the courage to explore joy. If you need to change the word to fit your perspective, go for it! Sometimes, we are simply looking for contentment because joy seems so far away. Maybe, tickled or finding something funny is where in which you’d like to return. Other times, we seek the pleasures of everyday like enjoying the smell of brewing coffee, seeing a favorite color, sitting with a pet or listening to birds sing. Choose your level of happiness that fits for you…
I’d be remiss if I didn’t actually address everyday challenges. Each day brings forth their own set of circumstances from trying through to smooth sailing. With that said, some days are beyond tough. After addressing those tough moments, we can choose what’s next… how will we reset and continue living the next moment, hour, or day? You choose your focus, your responses and your overall attitude.
Life is adjusting right now. You are different – what is important and no longer important is different. The things you do and daily routines have changed. The things in life that offer little pleasures or an internal peak of interest may change too. Those things may also stay consistent with what you’ve enjoyed in the past.

It’s time to slow things down a bit. Take a bit of time for self awareness. Tap into your senses and then your core, your center…
Begin with identifying the little joys so we can begin collecting them. It’s important to recognize that we are all drawn toward different things and move away from others. Gaming, watching action movies, or even the news can be what you thing brings you joy. Think about it… Why am I doing these things? What do I really like about it? Do these activities offer a temporary break from the demands of life? Then, go deeper…
Pay attention to the things that you do normally to relax. What do those things do for you? Are you becoming anxious, tense, sad or worried? Notice your breath… Are you holding your breath? Are you sighing or yawning? Is your breath fast? These are indicators that what you are drawn toward is not working for you.
On the flip side, are you are interested, curious, humored, or smiling? Are your shoulders down, jaw or forehead relaxed, leaning toward, and breath smooth? These are indicators you are focusing on thing that are beneficial for you.
So, let’s get started.
