HeART Connection 💕 Beyond Uncomfortable
Fear of taking care of ourselves is a real thing… How many times do we put off our needs, our interests, our passions in order to meet other’s requests or wants? How do you move beyond uncomfortable?
Today’s intention is the March 15 entry from Simple Abundance, a Daybook of Comfort and Joy:
“Any little bit of experimenting in self-nurturance is very frightening for most of us.” – Julie Cameron
I began with a variety of oranges… orange makes me uncomfortable… it just does. My relationship with the color has continued to morph based on my son – he used to just love the color.
There was a blank space there in the middle. I actually felt a nervousness with what would go in there… This is unusual for me in that I found myself hesitating while in process.
In reflection, I question, how do I spend my time on me? Am I using it wisely? Am I focused on the RIGHT things? This apprehension is something that comes up now and again.
I eventually took a breath and went for it… The colors made me feel so much better. I was able to exhale and I was no longer holding my breath. I began to fill in and create layers of yellow and seafoam. It was wonderful. I wanted to touch it… I wanted to be in it, in those colors.
As I sit back and ponder the image, I view myself care spewing over the anxiety and touching things far beyond me when it’s active in my life.
I certainly enjoyed today… So I’m adjusting the intention to “have courage to feed my soul.” I can’t wait for today!!! Make it a great day today! What will you create?
