Sometimes grief takes our breath away. We feel like we are stuck… confused… overwhelmed or all those things at the same time. Other times we feel numb… empty… depleted… Can you relate?
So, let’s do something together.
Go ahead – put your hands over your heart.
Take a good breath in… Hold it… Blow it out… Now push it all the way out.
Sometimes we need to allow ourselves to live moment to moment. Even breath to breath and it’s completely okay… it’s what YOU need.
Focus on that heart center. Focus on your breath. Do this 2,3,4 times to catch your breath… to live in this or for this moment. Sometimes that’s all we got is right now.
Grief is tough…Give yourself some love and grace, my friend. Give yourself this moment, right now.
Practice: Deep breaths as you need. You may find that you yawn after these exercises as you continue to re-oxygenate and comfort your body.
