Initially, our Inner Critic was a tool to help navigate when to pause for all sorts of reasons. At some point in life, that inner voice became overly judgmental and negative. No matter how long of a relationship you have, you have the power to adjust and even conclude your relationship with your Inner Critic.
That Inner Critic isn’t your friend and is tearing you down.
Who needs enemies when you have an active Inner Critic?
When you notice your negative self talk questioning you, telling you hurtful things, or degrading you, combat those statements by telling yourself something that is TRUE about you…
“I am smart.” “I have lots of ideas.” “I am a kind person.” “I am loving.” “I am creative.” “I am loved.”
These statements work… You are smart. You do have ideas. You are kind. You are loving. You are creative. You are loved. Sometimes, life may be trying… However, you are unique and you matter.
