Quotes- Courage

“There is a courage of happiness as well as a courage of sorrow.’ – Alfred Adler

Have you ever had someone ask you… Why are you so happy? Or why are you so sad? Or fill in the blank… “Why are you so _________?” That is someone’s projection onto you… they are having a response to what energy they are sensing from you. Let them have their own responses…

I’m more curious about you.

When we are grieving, we may have our own internal struggle when we begin to experience joy or happiness. That’s normal. I’m here to tell you, your honoring of your Loved One is not connected only to the pain and sorrow of the loss. You will begin to enjoy life again if you are willing… and it’s okay to show it, share it.

Sometimes, it is believed there is strength to hide pain or be stoic in grief. Stuffing it down and suppressing the pain only bottles it up, creating a grief pressure that will eventually pop.. Give yourself a chance to explore your grief. Experiencing the tough parts offers the opportunity to understand and grow in life. This takes so much courage as there is so much unknown in the process of grief.

I’ve shared my thoughts. What do you think? I like how this quote encourages reflection…

Share: How are you courageous in happiness? How are you courageous in sorrow?
